Aesthetic-looking labia

Labioplasty – correction of external female genitals

I’ve long thought of correcting my labia, which I find too large. I often feel uncomfortable about it, not only because of their look, but also frequent and painful chafing. The gynaecologist I reported my recurrent intimate infections to has suggested ph

Labioplasty is designed to shape labia and provide them with a shape and size desired by the Patient, so that they look nice and don’t make everyday life uncomfortable.

Details of your procedure

The procedure consists in removal of redundant skin and shaping of labia. Cutting of a bit of labia edge or skin excision while preserving the naturally shaped edges are the most popular techniques of eliminating excess tissue. After the procedure, the skin folds are sewn with absorbable or classic surgical sutures.

Wishing to highlight their natural beauty, women resort to the plentiful opportunities offered by plastic surgery. In this way, they remedy signs of ageing, emphasise strengths of their figures or restore youth and brightness to their faces. Patients also take increasing advantage of benefits of surgical breast shaping techniques as well as corrections to appearance of their genitals. Thus, labioplasty gains popularity, a procedure eliminating aesthetic and functional shortcomings of labia. Labia, both major and minor, may vary in size, colour, and shape. The external labia are normally larger and surround the smaller, internal ones that protect the vaginal orifice. They aren't always symmetrical or shapely, however. They happen to be hypertrophied since birth, too. Traumas in this body region, hormone shifts, natural ageing processes or natural births may contribute to changes of their appearance. Irregularities of labia build may not only constitute aesthetic defects but also affect everyday life and even health of female Patients. Overgrown skin flaps may cause problems during the intercourse, interfere with practice of sports, and cause more frequent intimate infections. They are also sources of female complexes. Ladies begin to be ashamed of their bodies and even avoid sexual contacts for this reason.

Labioplasty is undertaken in the areas of both major and minor labia. Their size, shape or asymmetries can be corrected. It is chosen by both young and mature women who wish to change the appearance of their external genitals. End result of the procedure will depend on correction techniques suited to the Patient’s aesthetic expectations and extent of a deformity.

Following their labioplasty, the fair sex acquire not only natural-looking labia but also a newly comfortable life.

Frequently asked questions:

Patients intending to start families in near future are advised to delay corrections to their genitals and have them after they give birth to their babies. Pregnancy, the associated hormone imbalance, and birth may change the appearance of labia. To regain the former looks of these regions, a correction is a good idea, but only after any postpartal wounds have healed.

Pains of the corrected area are possible following the procedure. They shouldn’t be intense or prolonged.

Yes, the operated area may swell after a correction. Swelling is a typical symptom after surgical procedures. As wounds heal, it gradually recedes. It may persist for up to several weeks, however.

Scars are produced by any surgical procedure. They won’t be large, though, or highly manifest, especially if the incision is made in natural skin folds.

The new and attractive look of your labia will be preserved for long. Flaccid skin, more births, and traumas may deform the labia, thus a secondary labioplasty may be required.
